According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the cyclonic circulation in the Arabian Sea has come as a small relief for the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Moist southerly winds due to the weather system are affecting the day temperatures in the states that are in excess of 48°C at places like Churu and Sriganganagar. Maximums in Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner have also dropped and will remain below 47°C for next two to three days.
In Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Amreli, Idar and Baroda will observe day temperatures settling in the early forties during the next two days. These are the same places that were experiencing heat wave conditions with mid-forties temperatures till Saturday.
According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rest of northwest plains i.e. Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh will get much relief from heat wave conditions as they will continue to experience hot westerly winds. Places like Amritsar, Chandigarh and Ludhiana in Punjab, Jaipur and Kota in east Rajasthan, Agra, Hisar and Karnal in Haryana would again be in the grip of intense to very intense heat wave conditions.
In Central India, west Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will observe winds coming from the Sea due to which there will be some respite from the hot weather. Maximum temperatures will drop, however, Guna and Gwalior in north Madhya Pradesh will observe heat wave conditions.
Easterly winds are keeping a check on the day temperatures in East India excluding east Uttar Pradesh. Places including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Chapra in Bihar are experiencing below normal day temperatures. Bankura, Asansol and Burdman in West Bengal are also experiencing below to near normal day temperatures. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, there will not be any significant rise in maximums for the next two days.
