Delhiites are surely going to take out umbrellas but this time to shield themselves from the scorching heat and not rain. After Delhi recorded the hottest day of the season on Sunday, 19th April, the city is set to embrace hot weather during the week.
Sudden rain and partly cloudy weather in last few weeks had subdued the soaring mercury, forcing it to remain between 32°C – 36°C. However, according to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to remain at 40°C for next two-three days, forcing Delhiites to sweat it out.
While maximum temperature settled at 40.6°C on 19th April, 4 notches above normal, minimum today is 26°C, 5 degrees above normal. While pleasant weather prevailed during the first fortnight of April, hot weather is likely to dominate the second half of April.

The situation was similar in Delhi-NCR as well where Gurgaon recorded maximum temperature of 43.5°C and Faridabad witnessed maximum temperature settling at 39.3°C on 19th April.
With no signs of clouds and sun shining brightly, Delhi is most likely to observe hot and sunny days ahead just after a sunny beginning to the week.
