Skymet Meteorology Division in India expects further rise in day temperatures across the country. The latest weather update suggests that northwest plains would heat up more and maximums would settle in the late thirties in the coming days. Similar rise in day temperature is expected in Central and East India. Maximums in both the regions could settle in the forties.
Skymet Satellite images show a Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir but meteorologists explain that the weather system will remain confined to the higher reaches of Jammu & Kashmir for the next two days and will not be able to cause any rain in the plains of Northwest India. Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh will have to bear the brunt of hot weather.
Warm winds blowing from the northwest plains towards Central and East India will add up to the miseries of people experiencing very hot conditions in places like Allahabad, Varanasi and Patna. Maximums are already recording in the higher thirties in these places.
Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur in Central India have been experiencing partly cloudy sky that led to a drop in day temperature on Monday. According to the latest weather update, the weather will sustain for another 24 to 48 hours after which the temperatures are expected to rise.
Rain is likely to reduce in central south peninsula over madhya Maharashtra and Odisha in eastcentral India. So temperatures will again rise and settle in the forties Thursday onward. Interiors of southern peninsula over Karantaka, Telangana, Rayalaseema will witness very hot weather during the next two days as maximum temperatures are expected to rise further. However, pre-monsoon rain will continue to occur along the Kerala coast during this period.
