Temperature drops in Delhi, NCR; rain expected

November 5, 2013 12:54 PM | Skymet Weather Team

With people beginning to wear light woolens, winter seems to have finally made its entry in Delhi and NCR. The fall in minimum temperature today and the nip in the air is a further indication to this fact.

As predicted by Skymet earlier, a fall of 4-5 degrees was recorded in the minimum temperature on Tuesday morning. The minimum settled at 12.3 degrees, which is three degrees below normal. This trend is however, expected to change from tomorrow onwards with minimum temperature increasing gradually and going beyond 15 degrees due to the arrival of the Western Disturbance.

But towards the weekend, minimum will start to fall again due to chances of rain on the 6th and the 7th. This is when Delhi-ites could say that winter has sounded its arrival as temperature will continuously fall thereafter.

Maximums will also witness a marginal drop and are expected to hover around 27 degrees.
