Telangana has been receiving mainly moderate rains during last 48 hours. Hyderabad has received less rainfall but few places have received good rains. In a span of 24 hours, Nizamabad has received 31.2 mm of rainfall, Hyderabad 9.6 mm and Ramagundam 1 mm.
Light to moderate rains will continue over Ramagundam and Nizamabad while Hyderabad will receive light rains only.
However, rainfall will increase over Telangana on August 4 and 5. In Hyderabad moderate showers cannot be ruled out on August 5 and 6.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over eastcentral and adjoining northwest and westcentral Bay of Bengal has intensified into a low pressure area. It is now lying over northwest Bay of Bengal.
The low pressure area will move in a west-northwest direction. This weather system will bring maximum rains over Vidarbha and South Chhattisgarh but Telangana will also come under its purview.
Telangana has witnessed 19% more rains than normal so far this season. This figure will more or less remain in the similar range in the days to come. This part of Peninsular India have performed quite well this Monsoon.
