Monsoon has entered into weak phase and thus, the rains have reduced significantly across the country. Barring few pockets of South India, most of the places have been witnessing dry weather conditions.

During the last 24 hours, Rayalaseema recorded scattered rains, whereas isolated rains were experienced in some pockets of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Telangana.

According to Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal. With this, humid winds from Bay of Bengal are reaching Andhra Pradesh and southern districts of Telangana.

Due to this, Rayalaseema and one or two places of Coastal Andhra Pradesh such as Anantapur, Nellore, Kadapa, Ongole and Kurnool will expect scattered light to moderate rains. Whereas, subdued rains will affect southern parts of Telangana such as Mehboobnagar, Nalgonda and Khammam.

As per weathermen, similar weather conditions will prevail over the region for another 48 hours. However, as the system fades away, the weather over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana will become almost dry, with rise in temperatures in next 2-3 days.

Until now, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh have received normal rainfall. However, Rayalaseema is rain deficient by 36%, which is the second most rain deficit region after Lakshadweep that is rain deficient by 48%.

Further, with no weather system in sight, Rayalaseema would not witness any rainfall activity and we are afraid that deficiency may see a rise.
