Mumbai is known for heavy Monsoon showers. To such an extent that sometimes these heavy falls trigger deluges across the city.

But for a change, this year particularly in the month of August, heavy hails remained almost away from the dazzling city of India. Light to moderate showers have been recorded by Mumbai in the past many days.
The last 24 hours also remained the same and in fact, Mumbai has been observing rains from past an hour today as well. In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, the Santa Cruz Observatory recorded 4 mm of rainfall, while Colaba Observatory received a mere 0.2 mm of rain.

As per Skymet Weather, light to moderate rains are expected over Mumbai during the next 24 to 48 hours. All thanks to the presence of a cyclonic circulation that is over East Arabian Sea. Weathermen expect the Monsoon surge to remain normal over the coast of Konkan & Goa.
As on August 12, Mumbai has recorded 60.8 mm of rainfall as against its monthly average of 529.7 mm of rains. With 17 days left, we can just cross our fingers and hope for some heavy spells over Mumbai to help achieve or reach near to its monthly target.
