Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore are going to play the inaugural match of IPL 2024 at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match will begin at 8:00 PM IST on 22 March 2024. It will be preceded by the IPL Opening Ceremony in which many Bollywood superstars are expected to perform. However, the fun of IPL 2024 could be ruined on the very first day itself of the tournament. Even though the city of Chennai is experiencing excessive heat, the next 4 days from 20 March could experience a bit of rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu.
Weather Prediction for the Next 5 Days in Tamil Nadu
The weather forecasting team at Skymet anticipates partly cloudy conditions in the city until March 25. Over the next five days, temperatures are expected to range between 34-35 degrees Celsius for the maximum and 25-26 degrees Celsius for the minimum. Light to moderate rain is forecasted in one or two places over South Tamil Nadu on Friday, while dry weather is likely to persist over the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal areas, according to the IMD forecast.
