Today, people from 11 states and 3 Union Territories are casting their valuable votes for 91 Lok Sabha seats. In Delhi, elections are being held for seven Lok Sabha seats to decide the future of the country.
Yesterday Delhi recorded 32.8°C as maximum. The weather was pleasant today morning with a minimum of 17.9°C but people planning to cast their votes during afternoon hours could feel the heat due to the bright sun. But cool north westerly winds blowing from the areas that had received rain in the last few days will not let the day temperature rise much. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, day temperature will settle around 34°C today.
This time, an estimated 81.4 crore voters will exercise their right to shape their own future. An interesting battle is on the cards as there are 29 contenders from New Delhi constituency, which is the highest for any seat. In this high profile constituency, the Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken will fight against two first-time contenders Meenakshi Lekhi of Bharatiya Janta Party and Aam Aadmi Party’s Ashish Khaitan.
According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, there is no weather system in North India that could bring clouds and rain in the national capital at least for the next two days. However, a fresh Western Disturbance could lead to some thunder development on the 13th of April. Rain will be confined to the higher reaches of North India.
