Dry weather conditions are prevailing in the capital city of Delhi and its adjoining areas of Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. A moderate layer of fog was also observed in Delhi during the early morning hours today.
From the past one week, the minimums have been falling gradually and settling close to 6 degrees Celsius which is about two to three degrees below the normal. At the same time, maximums are in the normal range leading to pleasant day and clear skies.
In the absence of any significant weather system over the plains of Northwest India, cold northerly winds will continue to blow across the plains following which the minimums have been settling below normal and will further continue to remain like this. However, days will be pleasant with clear sky conditions.
According to our meteorologists, we expect similar weather conditions to continue in the region of Delhi and NCR during the next 24 to 36 hours.
Thereafter, the minimums and maximums will rise gradually as a feeble Western Disturbance would be affecting in the hills of Jammu and Kashmir by the late-night hours of February 3.
No mist or thick fog is likely to appear for the next three to four days over the city. The pollution level will remain in ‘moderate’ to ‘poor’ category in Delhi and NCR. Similar condition is likely to continue for the next three to four days.
