It is expected that by the end of today, the maximum temperature will reach 42 degrees over the region. The conditions will be like heatwave over the region but heatwave cannot be declared over the region. Heatwave over a particular area is declared when the maximum temperature is more than 40 degrees and it is above 4-5 degrees above the normal levels.
The recent rain activity over Hyderabad on April 5 didn’t help the temperature profile to drop. But instead, the temperatures did show a rising trend over the region.
Other than Hyderabad, the temperature over neighboring regions of the city may reach heatwave levels. Such high levels of mercury is normal for the region but with prolonged period of rainless and hardly any weather activity in place, the temperatures around Hyderabad has seen a sharp rise leading to heatwave in pockets.
For next few days, the heatwave like conditions will not be seen in Hyderabad but hot weather will continue to make life tough for the residents.
