The city of Mumbai had been witnessing warm weather conditions for the past few days. However, they were not uncomfortable enough as the maximums were close to the 31-degree Celsius mark. Around ten days ago, Mumbai had also recorded traces of rainfall when the maximum had dropped to a mere 28.4 degrees Celsius.

For the past few days, the mercury both in terms of the maximum as well as minimum temperatures have been settling below the normal levels. However, yesterday, there was some increase in the maximum temperatures while the minimum settled at the normal levels only.

Yesterday, Mumbai recorded its maximum temperature at 33.2 degrees Celsius which happens to be normal. The minimum temperature was the same as yesterday at 21.2 degrees which is two notches below the normal levels.

The reason for the increase in the maximum temperatures will be attributed to the change in wind pattern over the region. Moreover, the adjoining areas of Vidarbha and Marathwada will see a massive rise in the maximum temperatures.

For Mumbai, the next few days are expected to remain warm and humid with discomfort during the afternoon hours. Maximum temperatures may increase even further even close to the 35 degree mark and beyond.

The only relief that the city will witness is in terms of sea breeze which will result in pleasant evenings and slight relief from the scorching summer heat.
