No rain-show for almost the last 10 days over the state can be said as the real cause for the rise in mercury levels. In addition to this, the region is swept by moderate dry northwesterly winds that are devoid of any significant moisture due to which pre-Monsoon activities are also in a backseat.

As per Skymet Weather, in the coming days, the temperatures may even shoot up to the 40-degree mark at some locations. Stations like Patna, Gaya, Supaul, Bhagalpur may continue to reel under the scorching summer heat.

Hence, for the next 4-5 days also, any relief from scorching hot weather conditions is not anticipated due to persistent dry weather Any relief from the sweltering heat in Bihar is likely by March 31 wherein some pre-Monsoon activities may once again show up letting the temperatures to slip back to mid-30’s.
