October 18, 2023 10:48 AM|

Yesterday's thrilling game between the Netherlands and South Africa suffered a little setback due to rain in Dharamsala. So much so, that the match was reduced to 43 overs for each side. The exciting part was when the Netherlands emerged victorious against South Africa. The former batted first and scored 245 runs for South Africa to chase. The bowling lineup of the men in orange was so good that South Africa could only score 200 runs and were all out in 42.3 overs.

Today, the 16th instalment of the ICC World Cup match will be played between New Zealand and Afghanistan in Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium at 2:00 PM. We expect sultry weather conditions during the first half of the match. Initially, the temperatures will be around 31 or 32°.

Humidity will be between 65 and 85% therefore, the chances of dew over pitch and ground are very high. The temperature will drop to 24 degrees by the end of the match. We expect moderate winds from the Northeast direction. Wind speed may be between 12 to 15 kmph.

The sky may be partly cloudy but we do not expect any rain activity during the match. This means that the game will be completed with full overs.
