The hills of North India have been witnessing rains due to frequent Western Disturbances. Now also, a fresh Western disturbance has approached the western Himalayan region which will result in rainfall activity over the hills of North India including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh as well as Uttarakhand.
These activities are expected to continue for almost the entire month with a slight break in between on May 27. However, another system will come up again and rains will once again start around May 29. More of it will be over Jammu and Kashmir area including the higher reaches. Lightning, thunderstorm and hailstorm may be seen over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
These activities may also result in landslides and mudslides along with the possibility of road blockage as well as closures.
