The hills of Western Himalayas have witnessed heavy snowfall between February 2nd and 4th. Now, the weather has cleared over the hills. However, a fresh Western disturbance is expected to approach the Western Himalayas around February 6 which will give light to moderate rain and snow over Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir and at isolated pockets of Uttarakhand on February 6th. Rain and snow activities will be light over these States on February 7.

Another Western disturbance is expected to approach by February 8, which will give light to moderate rain and snow over the hills on February 9.

Its impact will be felt over the Northern Plains in terms of light scattered rainfall. We expect scattered light rains to occur over parts of south Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Therefore, for now minimums of Northwest India will increase once again from February 8.
