As reiterated by Skymet Weather, another active Western Disturbance is in offing for Jammu and Kashmir. The system is presently seen over North Pakistan and is likely to affect the Indian region after the next 24 hours.

The hilly state has been witnessing back to back Western Disturbances, but, they have failed to give any weather activity over the state barring the higher reaches.

However, the approaching system seems to be promising one. Being active in nature, it is likely to give rain and thundershowers along with few spells of snowfall over the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Places such as Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Kupwara, Banihal are expected to record first snowfall of the season.

According to Skymet Weather, we can expect isolated rains on November 24. The weather activity is likely to intensify on November 25 and 26, wherein rains and snowfall will make an appearance.

In wake of this, the day temperatures that have been settling above normal, will drop significantly during the next 24 to 48 hours. With this, people across the states will witness chilly winds and nail biting cold.

Meanwhile, minimum temperature will be above normal due to clouding and light winds. As the system moves away by November 27, night temperatures will also drop subsequently by several notches.
