Spring Weather India 1

From the chilly, foggy mornings to clear weather, most parts of India have seen a drastic change ever since the month of February started. Only the higher reaches of hills of North India continued to witness some rainfall and snowfall activity.

But, in last 10 days the temperatures have increased significantly over almost entire country. In fact, many areas of the country are witnessing above normal temperatures by 5°C. This is mainly because of the fact that there is absolutely zero weather activity over entire country. Clear skies and absence of any northwesterly winds over most of the country has resulted in a rise in temperatures over most of the country.

At present, most of North India including the hills and northwest plains are witnessing above normal temperatures in both maximum and minimum by 5°C or more. Even Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and the northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are witnessing above normal temperatures.

Most of South India is witnessing above normal temperatures by 1-3°C whereas rest parts of the country are witnessing above normal temperatures by 3-5°C.

But some relief is definitely in sight. Due to successive Western Disturbances, winds from northwest direction were cut off. These winds are cool and dry in nature which result in cool weather over the North and Central India. But post the passage of Western Disturbances, the cool winds will blow over the region again.

This flow of cool winds over most of the country will result in pleasant weather, allowing the spring to set it.
