Southwest Monsoon has officially come to an end on September 30. However, Monsoon takes a little longer to withdraw from the entire country. This year, monsoon started to withdraw on September 25, which is eight days behind schedule.

Until now, the Southwest monsoon has already withdrawn from the entire Punjab, Haryana and Delhi NCR, many parts of the hills. Conditions are now favourable for south-west monsoon to withdraw from the entire Mountain region of north India, the plains of North India, west Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, entire Rajasthan and even some parts of Kutch in Gujarat.

It is still a little late for Monsoon to withdraw from these regions as Monsoon bids adieu by September 30 from these regions. As no rains are likely over Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, Monsoon will soon bid adieu.

Withdrawal symptoms are being seen over Gujarat, MP and Rajasthan, places close to the Tropic of Capricorn. For instance, Jaisalmer saw the maximum at 39.6 degrees. Northern parts on the other hand will see a further nip in the air. Minimums have dipped significantly due to the withdrawal and will continue seeing below-normal minimums in the coming days.
