The fretting and fuming of the Kolkatans at the uncomfortable weather is likely to end soon as the Monsoon currents are on the right track to hit the city in next two three days. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the Monsoon rain is expected to arrive in Kolkata within next couple of days as the Monsoon system brewing in Bay of Bengal is likely to move inland within next 48 hours.

The Southwest Monsoon that made a delay in visiting Kerala has remained static in last three days. Even though the western arm of the Monsoon has moved a little as it covered parts of Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, eastern arm of the Monsoon has been stagnant in past few days. Moreover, even though it has rained in several parts of Odisha and few places of West Bengal in last few days, heavy Monsoon rain in Kolkata, Bhubaneswar is expected in next two days. In one go, the Monsoon is expected to cover Odisha, West BengalJharkhand and parts of Bihar by the weekend.

Watch: How to enjoy Monsoon in Kolkata

Temperatures have certainly observed a drop in several places of West Bengal due to the light rain witnessed in last few days. The cloud cover also provided slight relief and sparked the hopes of a timely and good Monsoon in parts of West Bengal. Yet high humidity levels will take time to bid adieu in the city of joy.

Wondering how is the Monsoon going to fare? As it makes an entry into the respective states, it’s going to rain enough to keep everyone smiling and drenching in Monsoon rains.
