The much-awaited Southwest Monsoon 2017 is taking baby steps towards advancing over the city of Mumbai. After much anticipation, it is finally time for Monsoon to make an appearance over the city of dreams.
Mumbai and its adjoining areas have been waiting for those Monsoon showers to lash the city. The Southwest Monsoon season is the most beloved season for Mumbaikars. More than three-fourth of the rainfall activity occurs in Mumbai during the four-month long Monsoon season.
In fact, since the month of October until May 13, Mumbai had not witnessed a single drop of rain. The city was observing warm and dry weather conditions making the residents crave for those droplets of rain.

Now, Southwest Monsoon has made further advancement and has reached Mahabaleshwar, just a few km away from Mumbai. Currently, the Northern Limit of Monsoon is passing through Srivardhan, Mahabaleshwar, Bijapur, Ongole, Agartala, William Nagar and Kokrajhar.
Further advancement of Southwest Monsoon is expected during the next two to three days over Central Arabian Sea, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, parts of Marathwada, Telangana and some areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh etc.
Thus, it is safe to say that Mumbaikars are all set to witness Monsoon rains during the next 24 to 48 hours. Mumbaikars will be enjoying those Monsoon showers soon enough, the wait will now be over.
