The state of Gujarat has already experienced Pre Monsoon showers yesterday over many parts. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Rajkot recorded 30 mm of rains, Kandla 21 mm of rainfall, Surendranagar 9 mm, Bhuj 5 mm, Okha 4 mm, and Mahuva 3 mm
Today, Southwest Monsoon has entered the extreme southern parts of Gujarat along with Diu. Normally, Saurashtra and Central Gujarat see the onset of Monsoon around June 18 and 20 and mark its entry around June 15 into southern parts of Gujarat.
Now, rains will reduce and only light showers are expected for the next few days. Rainfall will pick up pace around June 19, starting South Gujarat and then furthermore extending to more parts of the state due to the Monsoon surge over the West Coast.
