Monsoon 2019: Rain forecast for October 2

Monsoon Systems across the country:

A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area is over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat.

A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Punjab and another rover Southeast Uttar Pradesh.

A Trough is extending from Cyclonic Circulation over Punjab to Assam via Haryana, Cyclonic Circulation over Southeast Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Another Cyclonic Circulation can be seen over the east-central Bay of Bengal.

Monsoon performance in the last 24 hours

Active Monsoon conditions prevailed over South Rajasthan and isolated pockets of Madhya Pradesh and West Assam.

Monsoon remained Normal over  Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand Gujarat, Vidarbha, North Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, rest northeastern states.

Monsoon remained Subdued over rest parts of the country.

Rain performance likely in the next 24 hours

Southeast Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Southwest Bihar and Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, parts of Assam, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala are likely to witness normal rainfall activity.

The rest parts of the country will see subdued rains.
