Moist southerly winds are prevailing over almost entire parts of the East India. On Tuesday, good Monsoon showers have been observed over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal.

According to Skymet Weather, rainfall will continue over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Jharkhand and North Bengal. Isolated activities are likely over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall activities will be confined during afternoon hours. Basically, due to the available moisture in the air and warm temperatures, thunderclouds will develop leading to good rainfall activity.

Mainly isolated pockets of these areas will receive moderate to heavy rainfall due  to local thunderclouds development at a great height.

So far this Monsoon season, Gangetic West Bengal is the only subdivision in the East and Northeast region to receive above normal rains.
