During the last 24 hours, scattered rainfall activities are going on in Kerala, and in parts of interior Tamil Nadu. One or two intense spells of rain were also observed over South India. While light rain occurred over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Bhadrachalam in Telangana also recorded rain of moderate intensity.

At present, a trough is extending from Northeast Bihar up to Odisha or North Coast of Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, we expect on and off light rains to continue over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the next two to three days. The state of Telangana may also observe isolated rain activities from tomorrow onwards.

Thereafter, a north-south trough is also likely to extend from Madhya Pradesh up to Telangana across the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra.

In the presence of the above-mentioned weather system, there may be a slight increase in the rainfall activities over the parts of Telangana on March 25 and 26. The intensity of the rains will remain patchy during the same episode of this rainy spell.

A few good spells of rain and thundershower activities may also occur in Kerala. Interior Tamil Nadu may experience only light isolated rains.

Many parts of Karnataka, as well as, Coastal Tamil Nadu, and Rayalseema are expected to remain dry and are however expected to experience very warm and sunny weather conditions.
