-According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the hills of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh may again receive snowfall and rain at a few places during the next two days, under the influence of a fresh Western Disturbance .
-The Western Disturbance currently lies over north Pakistan and adjoining areas of Jammu & Kashmir. It is expected to affect the Western Himalayan region and bring light snowfall in all the three Himalayan states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours.
-The weather system will also usher in some light rain in parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan, thus keeping a check on the maximum temperatures. However, rest of the areas in the northwest plains will witness a rise in the maximums during the next two days.
-In spite of a rise, the day temperatures are significantly below normal in Central and East India. Indore recorded a maximum of 23.5°C on Sunday, nine notches below normal. Similarly, Jabalpur, Satna and Ujjain also recorded below normal day temperatures, by about 7°C. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, day temperatures may rise at all these places during the next two days.
-As far as rain in both these regions (Central and East) are concerned, there isn't any weather system in sight for the next two days due to which rain will only be confined to a few places. Some places that would receive rain are Chhattisgarh, Odisha and east Madhya Pradesh as they are close to the anti cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal along the east coast. Sky in these places will remain partly cloudy and may not allow the maximums to rise.
-Central Peninsular India over madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and South Peninsula over interior Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu would witness rain at one or two places during the next two days as moisture incursion is taking place from both the seas.
