The weather across the hilly regions has become pleasant. As per Skymet Weather, we expect rain and snow intensity to increase over Jammu and Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh will also receive few spells of rain and the higher reaches may experience snowfall.
Isolated rains are also possible over northern parts of Uttarakhand. It is anticipated by weathermen that very severe snowfall activity will not be witnessed by the hilly region as the Western Disturbance is not very active.
There are very fewer chances of heavy traffic jams, landslides, and avalanches. We expect rain and snow to continue until December 21. Thereafter, the Western Disturbance will move eastwards and weather will become dry. Vaishno Devi is also likely to receive light rains on the night of December 20 and 21. The intensity of rains will be very low in Vaishno Devi.

The maximum temperatures will reduce significantly due to rain, snow and dense cloud cover. Initially, the minimum temperatures will not fall but after December 21 as the Western Disturbance will pass, the minimum temperatures will also fall. It is the best time, to visit the hill stations to witness snowfall activity and get the wintry feel.
