Skymetweather.com has been nominated in the Weather & Traffic category of the Website of the Year India Award, 2015. It is the only privately owned website to have been nominated for this category.
Skymet Weather is India’s foremost private weather forecasting agency providing timely weather news, analysis, and updates. Earlier in 2015, Skymet launched the ‘Help The Farmer’ initiative which shed light on the issue of farmer suicides in the country. While #HelpTheFarmer trended on Twitter for more than 6 hours, the video film was awarded with the prestigious ‘Cinema of the Sellers’ Silver Award at the 6th Jagran Film Festival Awards, in Mumbai this year.
The election for the Website of the Year Award, 2015 is being organized by MetrixLab and close to 344,000 votes were cast last year. This year, to cover a broad range of websites, nominated websites have been categorized. Voters can choose from 19 categories which cover a variety of products and services.
The voting period started on October 19 and the last date for voting is November 27. You can log onto http://websiteoftheyear.co.in/ and be a part of this online election. All you need to do is scroll down to the ‘Weather & Traffic’ category and click on it. Once all the nominations appear, you can select Skymet Weather to cast your vote, and show your support for our website.
