Sizzling hot weather awaits PM Narendra Modi in Coimbatore

PM Narendra ModiHot and humid weather is all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival in Coimbatore city of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday afternoon.

Modi is scheduled to address his first political rally in the state after assuming Prime Minister’s office in 2014. Tamil Nadu will have the assembly polls later this year.

According To Skymet Weather, Coimbatore has been reeling under high day temperatures with high humidity. On Monday, day temperature was recorded at 32.7°C and Tuesday is likely to be no different.

By 10 am on Tuesday, mercury had already soared to 26°C and maximum temperature is expected to settle around 33°C with light breeze.

Prior to Coimbatore, Modi will also be visiting Khozikode in Kerala for short while around noon where he would be attending the ongoing Global Ayurveda Festival.

Kozhikode is also witnessing high day temperatures, with maximums settling around 35°C. The temperatures had already reached 30°C at 10 am.

As per Skymet Weather, entire Peninsular India has been witnessing high day temperatures since the last few days, especially Kerala. Post the departure of Northeast Monsoon, no significant weather system has come up to affect the weather.
