Parts of Rajasthan and Haryana are expected to receive short spells of rain and showers today in the late evening and night hours. Limited areas of North Rajasthan and neighboring South Haryana are likely to have’ hit and miss’ showers, mostly light and for a brief period. Weather activity will cease in the early morning itself with possible sunshine on the weekend.
A weak Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir, causing light snow in the higher reaches and light rain at few places like Gulmarg and Kupwara. An induced circulation is marked over North and West Rajasthan, in the lower layers of the atmosphere. The combined influence of these two systems will result in fleeting spell of light to moderate rain, that may be accompanied with a spell of thundershower.
Clouding over the region will appear during the day, possibly becoming thick in patches in the evening. Rain and thundershowers will commence in the night and find clearance by early morning. Ganganagar, Suratgarh, Hanumangarh, Anupgarh, Churu and Jhunjhunu are the likely locations in Rajasthan. The peripheral areas of these locations may also receive clouding and mild showers. Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar and Bhiwani in Haryana are expected to have the cloud cover and few showers.
Weather activity mostly localized in nature fill find clearance in the morning itself. Sporadic showers may add some chill and quickly replaced by pleasant warmth in the forenoon hours. Thereafter, weather conditions are expected to stay good for next one week. A similar partial cloud cover may also appear again on 22ndevening followed by light sprinkle in the wee hours. Overall, winter flavor is expected to mark its exit by month end.
