Series of Western Disturbances to continue affecting the hills

February 15, 2023 9:03 PM |

The fresh Western Disturbance has already approached the Western Himalayan region, bringing weather activities to the hills of North India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand. The rains have started off light and isolated but will become more scattered on February 16 and 17, with some moderate activities in certain areas.

The system is expected to be less intense than the previous one. However, another system is expected to approach around February 18 and 19, which will be more active in nature and affect Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh, with slightly less impact on Uttarakhand. This particular system is expected to affect the region until February 21 while clearance is likely to take place around February 22.

Thereafter, another system will approach the region by February 24, which means that almost no breaks are to be seen in between. Thus, the region will continue seeing a series of Western Disturbances in the coming days.
