The previous Western Disturbance which affected the hills around February 2 has moved away and at the moment, the second successive Western Disturbance is still moving across the hills. Foothills got some weather with Pathankot, Amritsar and Ludhiana observing some rainfall activities. The hills saw rain and snowfall activity but nothing significant was observed.
Tomorrow, a break is expected in between. However, starting Feb 8, expect more rains and snow as the next Western Disturbance will be stronger as compared to the previous two. Peak activity is likely over the hills on February 9, wherein fairly widespread rain and snow may be seen over the region.
Foothills of Punjab and Haryana along with Chandigarh may see some weather activity during that time. Capital city Delhi remains far from the reach of these systems and so are the other parts of Haryana and Punjab. But the foothills and extreme northern parts may see some weather activity.
