Delhi Rains

Delhi is expected to have a thunderstorm between 17th and 19th March, with an enhanced probability on 18th March. Earlier the capital city broke the jinx of a month-long dry spell on 09th March with most parts of Delhi including Palam airport witnessing rain and thunderstorm. Weather activity followed for 2 more days on 11th and 12th Mar when moderate showers lashed many parts accompanied with hailstorm at few places of Delhi.

Trail of western disturbances is promising to keep the region active with sensitive weather even in the next week. More intense weather with a bigger spread and force is likely to strap most parts of Delhi with an extended duration between 21st and 23rd March. Also, 2nd round of hailstorm possibly acute than the previous one looks to be on cards for Delhi with a bright chance on 22nd and 23rd March.

Mild western disturbance along with its induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan will result in a thunderstorm with lightning on 18th and 19th March. Close behind will the 2nd set of duo albeit more marked drenching most parts of north India including Delhi. Day and night temperature will rise by 2-3°C for the capital city and a drop is expected only next week. Cessation of a thunderstorm and possibly hot days with clear weather can be expected from 24th March and later for Delhi.
