Two persons died after a portion of a 'chawl' (tenement) collapsed in suburban Malvani. In another incident, 2 more people lost their lives, when a part of an old building collapsed in South Mumbai's Fort area.
The east-west shear zone which was over north Konkan and Goa and was passing over Mumbai is shifting north. Low-level wind convergence is also weakening. Now the rain activities over Mumbai and suburbs will reduce significantly. Short spells of rain and thundershower will continue for at least the next 3 to 4 days. Sky condition will remain cloudy with occasional showers. There will be a gradual increase in temperatures, leading to warm and humid weather conditions.
