This change in weather was on account of a north-south trough running from Jharkhand to Karnataka across Telangana. According to weathermen at Skymet Weather, this trough is semi-permanent feature during the pre-Monsoon season that will keep on oscillating east to west.
Now, the trough has become weakened significantly. Thus, while the weather of many parts of Telangana may see partly cloudy sky for next 24 hours but any significant weather activity is not likely.
Since these showers were very light in nature, they did not have any impact over day temperature profile. For the last 48 hours, day maximums continued to settle in high 30s. In fact, weathermen are now of the view, that mercury is likely to soar even further.
As per the forecast by Skymet Weather, in absence if any weather activity, both maximum and minimum temperatures will now witness a rising trend. Particularly, day temperatures may rise and even touch 40-degree mark in the coming week itself.
Thus, locals are likely to brace for intense heat during the day, while nights would also be of no difference and would be slightly uncomfortable for Telangana and its capital Hyderabad.
