Pre-Monsoon rains have made a comeback over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the last few days. In fact, scattered rains are going on over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, since last two to three days. However, these pre-Monsoon rains are not fairly widespread and occur for only a short duration. Generally, time of occurrence of pre-monsoon rains is early morning and late evening.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Betul recorded rain to the tune of 1 mm, Guna 1 mm, Indore 0.1 mm, Jabalpur 0.4 mm, Rewa 1.2 mm. In the same time frame, Sagar recorded traces of rain.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over Southwest Madhya Pradesh in the lower levels along with this, a trough is also running across Madhya Pradesh to Karnataka across Maharashtra.

Humid winds from Bay of Bengal are also reaching up to East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Therefore, we expect patchy rains to continue over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for the next two days. These pre-monsoon activities may be accompanied by squally winds and isolated hailstorm activity as well.

Dust storm and thundershowers with strong gusty winds may occur over Balaghat, Betul, Chhindwara, Dindori, Harda, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Mandla, Narsinghpur and Seoni istricts of Madhya Pradesh during next 4 hours

However, on the evening of April 12 or April 13, weather will start clearing up and temperatures will also start rising. Though on and off rains are going on but temperatures in many parts of Madhya Pradesh are still crossing 40 degrees because these rains only cover few areas and for short duration, so by the time rains commence again temperatures will increase.
