Scattered rains likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep,

During the past day, scattered parts of southern West Coast witnessed rainfall activity. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Friday, Kottayam in Kerala recorded light rain to the tune of 0.6 mm. In the same span of 24 hours, Thiruvananthapuram witnessed traces of rain.

In fact, Hanimadu in Maldives also observed light rain to the tune of 3 mm. As per Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to a small trough is extending from the equator to the Maldives area. However, this weather system is likely to fizzle out.

Now, we expect scattered rain is over Lakshadweep and Maldives. In fact, isolated pockets of extreme South Kerala may also record scattered light rainfall activity. The intensity of rain would be less as the weather system has become very weak.

The sky conditions would remain mainly partly cloudy to cloudy across all the above-mentioned regions. The weather during the day is likely to remain warm and humid weather conditions. However, mornings and nights will witness pleasant weather.

In fact, light breeze may blow during the daytime. The maximum temperatures are expected to range between 32°C to 34°C. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures would hover around 22°C-25°C across Kerala.
