All thanks to the Western Disturbance, the hilly regions of North India, like Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will witness rainy spell for few more days.

At present, a Western Disturbance is seen over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this weather system, in the next 24 hours scattered rain is possible over the state. Snowfall can expected over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir only. By March 3 and 4, there may be only isolated rain activity with not much snowfall activity over the region.

By March 2-3, Himachal Pradesh may witness isolated rain and no snowfall activity over the region. This Western Disturbance is not strong hence the chances of heavy rainfall are unlikely. Only scattered rain is possible over isolated places. Isolated places of Uttarakhand will get some rains as well.

Everything set aside; by March 4 weather will clear up over the hills of India but for few days only. In the light of a strong Western Disturbance which is set to hit the hills of North India around March 8-10, rainfall is expected to commence over the region again.

The holy pilgrimage of Vaishno Devi in Jammu will get light showers for next 2-3 days. But despite the rains over the station, pilgrims are expected to remain unaffected by it.
