The state of Kerala has been seeing heavy rains during the last few days. Rains have been varying in intensity from various parts of the country. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Munnar recorded 119 mm of rains, Palakkad 86 mm, Kannur 82 mm etc.
Entire state did not rain in one go completely but has seen pocket-wise rains and all these areas have been deluged. The next 24 hours also remain crucial for some of the districts including Kasaragod, Kannur, Kudlu, Thalassery, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur and Palakkad. These places may see heavy to very heavy rains.
Little relief is expected for the southern half including Alappuzha, Kottayam, Kollam Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Punalur may see moderate rains during this time.
By tomorrow evening only, the intensity will reduce to some extent and thereafter, rains will further ease out for the state of Kerala.
