Just when people were thinking that winter is over, rain in March revived the just-the-right-amount of chill in North India. March has witnessed record rain on the first day itself, followed closely by intermittent rainfall on second day as well.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, several places in Haryana and Punjab received record breaking rainfall, surpassing their rainfall in last ten years.
For instance, the rainfall in last 24 hours was more than double in Amritsar against its monthly average rainfall of 29 mm. Situation was similar in Chandigarh as well. However, rain gods blessed Karnal even more as the city received rainfall that was almost 5 times more than its monthly average rainfall.
