Southwest Monsoon has already vacated the country and with this, the rain activity over most parts of the country has declined drastically. While the northern parts of the country are mostly dry, the southern districts of the state are still getting some rains. On the other hand, the central and eastern parts of the country are mainly dry with only a few stations recording some rains.

Somewhat similar is the case with Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand that has not seen much rains in the last 24 hours and is mainly dry with only a few light traces of rains in parts. Within the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am as on Tuesday, isolated places such asJamshedpurin Jharkhand andJagdalpurin Chhattisgarh have recorded light rains to the tune of 11 mm and 4.8 mm respectively.

As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these rains can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is persisting over the northwest Bay of Bengal. However, now, Skymet Weather predicts of some scattered rains to pave their way towards both the states by October 5.

Thereafter, the above-mentioned weather system is likely to in intensify and move towards Jharkhand North Chhattisgarh around October 7. This will further enhance the rain activity over the two states by October 8 until October 10. During this time, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells is likely to occur over both Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Thus, the districts such as Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Chaibasa in Jharkhand while Raipur, Raigarh, Ambikapur and Raj Nandgaon will get to witness good rains. Thereafter though the intensity is expected to reduce slightly, scattered light to moderate rains will continue. Sky will be cloudy to overcast and maximums are expected to drop by 3-4 degrees leading to comfortable weather.
