Ranchi, Malda, Ambikapur to witness rains tomorrow

The weather is dry over entire East India for the past 10 days. The dry weather has led the temperatures also to witness a rise thereby leading to warm weather conditions. The maximums across most parts of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have raised to settle above the normal levels.

The maximums have been ranging from 32-34 degrees Celsius and even surpassing the 35-degree mark at a few locations. However, now, some rain and thundershowers are anticipated to occur tomorrow.

As per Skymet Weather, an anti-cyclonic circulation can be marked over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of East India. The confluence zone is expected to develop over Malda and adjoining Jharkhand in the lower levels.

This region is already warm and humid and above normal temperatures are residing here. Due to further increment in the moisture level, it may allow the formation of thunderclouds over the area.

In the wake of this, few areas of East India may even receive thundershowers with gusty winds. The districts such as Ranchi, Gumla, and Bokaro in Jharkhand while, Malda, Berhampore, Birbhum in West Bengal may witness light rain and thundershowers.

Isolated pockets of Chhattisgarh like Ambikapur may also witness thundercloud development. These light rains and thundershowers are anticipated to continue until February 26.
