June started on a rainy note forBiharandJharkhand, with several cities recording good amount of pre-Monsoon rains. Now, with Monsoon making onset over the region, we expect few more rainy spells to continue over the neighbouring states.
At present, also, weather conditions are conducive for rain and thundershowers to lash the cites such as Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, Patna and Gaya.

According to Skymet Weather, an east-west trough is running from Punjab to Northeast India across Indo-Gangetic plains, A cyclonic circulation is also embedded over the trough near East Uttar Pradesh.
With this, we can expect rain and thundershowers of varied intensity during the next 24 hours. However, intensity of rains will be more over Jharkhand and foothills of Bihar, wherein they can record light to moderate showers.

Meanwhile. other areas such as Patna and Gay are likely to see light showers only. These showers will keep temperatures under check but high levels of humidity will increase the discomfort.
These weather activities are likely to continue for next 2-3 days. Thereafter, a fresh Monsoon surge is expected to affect East India, when both Jharkhand and Ranchi will record moderate to heavy Monsoon rains.
