The state of Rajasthan has been affected by dry weather conditions, but the northern parts of Rajasthan are under the grip of the fog layer. While other parts are experiencing sunny sky conditions with few clouds.

Due to development and extending of an upper-air trough from North Kerala to western Madhya Pradesh in association with Western Disturbance which is moving across the northern parts of Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir may result in light spell of rain and thundershowers at isolated places of the northeast parts of Rajasthan during the next 12 to 18 hours.

Places like Dausa, Alwar, Sikar, etc. may be affected by these weather activities. Since the Trough is further becoming more marked, therefore after 24 hours, around December 22 until December 24, the eastern parts of Rajasthan will be experiencing light spells of rain and thundershowers at scattered places. Places like Jaipur, Kota, Bundi, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Udaipur, etc. may experience these rains. These rains will be very useful for crops like gram, peas, mustard, wheat, etc.

In the wake of this system, the temperature pattern both in terms of day and night will be increasing over the eastern parts of Rajasthan. Whereas the western parts may witness only a slight increase in both day and night temperatures.

However, the northern parts may experience fog layer during morning hours. While towards the afternoon, the fog layer may get weakened.
