The state of Rajasthan has been witnessing very high temperatures, many parts observing maximum above the 40 degree mark. So much so that isolated areas in West Rajasthan are observing severe heat wave conditions which means the maximum temperature has to be above 40 degrees and at least 6 degrees above the normal levels.
Talking about the maximum temperatures recorded yesterday, Phalodi 40.2 degrees, Pilani 40.5 degrees, Churu 39 degrees, Barmer 40.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 38.6 degrees, Bundi 39.4 degrees, Jodhpur 38.7 degrees. All of these areas are observing maximum temperatures at least 5 to 7 degrees above the normal levels.
With no sign of a western disturbance or any other active system around this area, temperatures are expected to remain in this range and may rise further, however, significant shoot up of temperatures does not seem likely in the coming two to three days.
Thus, in a nutshell temperatures in Rajasthan will remain above the normal levels an isolated pockets will continue to see heat wave conditions particularly the western part of the state.
