The state of Rajasthan has been heating up pretty quick with most parts of the state witnessing heatwave conditions and many areas reeling under the severe heatwave category.
Moreover, temperatures have exceeded the 40 degree mark in many cities including Barmer, Jodhpur, Pilani, Jaisalmer, which are now reeling under severe heatwave conditions. For severe heatwave conditions, the temperatures need to be above 40 degrees and at least 6 degrees above normal, which is the case for all these cities.
Moreover, almost entire Rajasthan is witnessing temperatures which are at least 6-8 degrees above normal with the city of Pilani witnessing its maximum 10 degrees above the normal levels.
Here are some of the maximums recorded as of today: Ajmer 39.4 degrees, Barmer 42.9 degrees, Bhilwara 38.9 degrees, Bikaner 41.2 degrees, Chittorgarh 39.7 degrees, Churu 39.9 degrees, Jaipur 38.4 degrees, Jodhpur 40.6 degrees, Kota 39.2 degrees, Pilani 40.4 degrees, and Jaisalmer 42 degrees.
Now also, no respite is expected for the state of Rajasthan for the next few days due to the absence of any significant weather system.
