Rajasthan has been observing wintry chills from last many days. Though, from last 2-3 days, temperatures took a U-turn and scaled up gradually. Above average temperatures was observed during this period.
However, in last 24 hours, some rains managed to show up in most parts of Rajasthan sparing southern region of the state. These rains have also led to a significant decrease in minimum temperatures over Central and Western parts of Rajasthan.
In a span of 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Ajmer received 22.1 mm of rains, Churu 15.2 mm, Jodhpur 13.2 mm, Udaipur 12 mm, Barmer 1.2 mm, Jaisalmer 2.8 mm and Sri Ganganagar recorded 1.6 mm of showers.
In fact, at present, rains are being witnessed by districts like Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Ajmer and Tonk. As per Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to an induced cyclonic circulation that persists over Rajasthan.
As of now, light to moderate rains and thundershowers are expected to continue over North and East Rajasthan with the possibility of one or two heavy showers as well during the next 24 hours. However, weather in West Rajasthan is likely to clear up gradually as the cyclonic circulation is expected to move towards east.
In short, weather of West Rajasthan is likely to clear up by the evening of January 26 and by January 27, East Rajasthan is also expected to observe clear weather conditions.
