Rajasthan may receive rain and hailstorm

The weather of Rajasthan has remained almost dry for last many days barring isolated light rain. However, now a Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayas by January 28 evening hours. With this, an induced cyclonic circulation may develop over Rajasthan and adjoining parts of West Madhya Pradesh.

Humid winds from the Bay of Bengal as well as from Arabian Sea will feed moisture over eastern parts of Rajasthan and parts of West Madhya Pradesh. Rain activities are expected over Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Karauli, Ajmer, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Bhilwara, Jhalawar, Udaipur Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Dungarpur districts of Rajasthan on January 28. Isolated rain activity may occur over Barmer, Nagaur and Pali. There are chances of isolated hailstorm activities as well.

Weather activities may continue over many parts of Rajasthan on January 29 including areas of Hanumangarh, Sri Ganganagar, Churu and Bikaner. The induced cyclonic circulation will fade away by January 30 and weather will start clearing up.

Dry and cold winds from Northwest will start blowing across many parts of Rajasthan leading to dip in temperatures. Isolated cold wave conditions are possible over parts of Rajasthan by January 31st and make continue for at least next 2 to 3 days.
