June came with a bang for the eastern states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Ever since the month began rains started showing up in most parts of these states. So much so that these rains became a common affair for most regions of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
In fact, a few districts of Jharkhand like Jamshedpur and Ranchi have recorded rains without a break. Whereas, with a short break of a day or two, rains kept lashing a few districts of Chhattisgarh as well. As of now, when Monsoon has gripped both the states with a delay of a week, rains are expected to continue battering the region.

As reiterated by Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to a trough which is passing through Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand and which is originating over North Rajasthan, extending up to the Bay of Bengal. Moreover, as this trough is likely to persist over Odisha and Jharkhand, Monsoon rains are expected to sustain over both the states for the next 24 hours.
Thereafter, though rain intensity may decline over Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh will continue to witness light to moderate rains for another one or two days.
Hence, the districts like Raipur, Bilaspur, and Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh while Ranchi and Jamshedpur in Jharkhand may keep on recording some good Monsoon showers.
