Weekend is here and so does many people must have started looking out from some getaways. While some plan for hill stations, some go on devotional journeys.
One such devotional stop is the famous Hindu shrine of Vaishno Devi, that say lakhs of footfall across the country round the year. Such is the faith, that pilgrims from all walks of life are ready to brave any kind of weather conditions to offer their prayers at the shrine.

This weekend, we can expect rains to bestow upon the temple situated at the hill-top in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir by Saturday. Though weather will remain mainly clear on May 6 but isolated rain or thundershowers cannot be ruled out on the same day.

But as the system moves further in Jammu and Kashmir, the intensity of rains will also increase by Sunday. Weathermen predict that weather activity will peak on May 7-8, wherein Vaishno Devi could witness scattered rain and thundershowers.
However, there is no major threat in sight that could hinder the pilgrimage. But one must carry light woolens which could be needed during the early morning or late evening hours.
Weather during the day will be comfortable and pleasant. So, just pack the bags and enjoy.
